The Independent Primary Care Advantage
Your doctor should be free to recommend what is best for you.
APG Concierge Primary Care is an independent, physician-led practice. Dr. Green is not employed by—or accountable to—the business priorities of a hospital system. His first responsibility is to the patient in front of him.
Independence does not mean avoiding hospital systems
Hospital systems provide essential specialists, testing, procedures, emergency care, and inpatient services. APG works with those resources whenever they are the right choice.
The difference is that Dr. Green is not automatically expected to keep every referral, test, or procedure inside one system. He can look across hospital-system-owned groups and independent practices to identify the best qualified option that fits your situation.
What independent guidance considers
When you need care beyond APG, the recommendation can account for:
The specialist's clinical expertise and experience with your condition
Participation in your insurance plan
Appointment availability and urgency
Location and travel distance
Your preferences and prior relationships
Communication and coordination with your primary-care physician
The hospital or facility where a procedure would occur
Reasonable cost considerations
No practice can promise that every specialist will be available immediately. Independence gives Dr. Green the freedom to consider more than one appropriate path and help you understand the tradeoffs.
A local practice can move differently
Large organizations often have centralized scheduling, standardized processes, multiple departments, and layers of approval. Those resources have value, but they can also make primary care feel slow or impersonal.
APG is intentionally smaller. You are known by the people caring for you. Communication is direct. Decisions can be made locally. When a concern needs timely attention, the practice can respond without sending you through a maze of departments or asking you to wait months for a routine primary-care opening.
Known here. Connected everywhere.
You do not have to choose between personal care and access to regional expertise. APG provides a close local physician relationship while coordinating with qualified specialists and facilities throughout the St. Louis Metro East and greater St. Louis region.
Your health story stays anchored with one physician who knows you—even when your care crosses organizational boundaries.

Can my physician refer outside the owner's network?
Will I see my own doctor when a concern arises?
How long is a typical appointment?
Who follows up after a specialist visit or hospitalization?
How quickly can the practice make a decision when my needs change?
