Beat the Winter Blues
Many people find themselves feeling a little blah or sad during the long cold days of winter. While the term “winter blues” is not a clinical diagnosis, cold weather and shorter days can often leave people with low energy, weight gain and feelings of sadness. Here are some tips to make you feel better:
- Eat a healthy, balanced diet
- Avoid alcohol—alcohol is a depressant
- Try to spend a little time in the sun
- Try to maintain a routine sleep schedule
- Schedule time with other people
