Board Certified Anesthesiologist and Pain Medicine Physician
Dr. A. Tony Chami is Board Certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pain Medicine, American Board of Anesthesiology, American Board of Medical Examiners, and American Academy of Pain Management.
Dr. Chami earned his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan and Medical Degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He completed post-doctoral training in Anesthesiology at the University of Michigan Medical Center and University of Illinois Hospitals. He also completed post-doctoral training at Saint John Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Chami has served as Medical Director at Chicagoland Advanced Pain Specialists, and Interventional Pain Specialist throughout the Chicago area and in Peoria, Illinois. He has co-authored literature to advance his specialty, and has presented multiple educational talks to community and professional groups. Dr. Chami has received advanced training certification in a broad array of pain management techniques; he works with a team of other specialties to achieve the best possible outcome to relieve his patients’ pain, and improve their quality of life .
Dr. Chami’s primary areas of interest are spine-related pain conditions and the exciting new field of regenerative treatment to reverse degeneration in the spine and joints. He offers a wide range of pain management techniques such as image-guided epidural and selective nerve injections, facet joint treatment protocol including radiofrequency nerve ablation, disc diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, Dorsal column stimulator (pain pacemaker) implantation, complete knee and hip pain treatment protocol including radiofrequency ablation where appropriate, Kyphoplasty, and sympathetic blocks.

Dr. Christopher Green, MD
Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician – Medical Director of APG Addiction CARE
Dr. Green graduated with honors from the University of Illinois Medical School in Chicago in 1979. He did his medical internship and residency at North Carolina Memorial Hospital, University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
He is currently president of the Alton Medical Society, a member of the American College of Physicians, the Illinois State Medical Society and the International Society for Clinical Densitometry. He is Board certified in Internal Medicine, ECG interpretation and ACLS certified. Dr. Green has held many Medical Director positions throughout his career, including d’Adrian Nursing Home, Eunice Smith Nursing Home, BJC Home Health and Hatch extended care/subacute care.
Dr. Green is a lifelong resident of Alton IL. He graduated Marquette Catholic High School in Alton and did undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana where he received a BA in Chemistry and a BA in Biology.

Anthony Bass, M.Ed., MA, MSW, RADC, MARS, LPC
Clinical Program Director
Anthony Bass earned master’s degrees in Community Counseling from the University of Missouri St. Louis, Management and Leadership from Webster University, and Social Work from St. Louis University. In addition, he completed a Bachelor of Social Work from the University Of Missouri St. Louis, and Associate degrees in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Law Enforcement and in Human Service with an emphasis in Corrections from Florissant Valley Community College. Mr. Bass is a Licensed Profession Counselor and Registered Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the state of Missouri.
As a direct service provider Mr. Bass has over twenty-five years of experience that encompasses acute psychiatric complexities, dual diagnosis disorders, substance abuse, crisis, and couples counseling, as well as individual, group, and family therapy. Mr. Bass has worked with community business owners and other non-profit organizations in the St Charles area to develop and or to help sponsor back to school projects. He presented as one of several professional speakers for the Francis Howell School District on career days in 2015 and 2016.
Mr. Bass’s mission is to empower and enrich the lives of individuals, families, and communities through prevention and crisis stabilization services utilizing a service system that emphasizes trust, respect, confidentiality, and compassion.
Dr. Bart Coleman, DC, MTAA
APG Addiction CARE Wellness Director
Dr. Bart Coleman has over 20 years of experience in St. Louis working with patients to optimize their health. His caring and compassion with all demographics allows him to integrate nutrition, exercise and lifestyle changes to provide multiple opportunities to positively affect change. He is a 1995 graduate of Logan University with a degree in chiropractic and is certified in acupuncture.
Dr. Bart Coleman
Lauren Finnerty, FNP-C
Certified Family Nurse Practitioner
Lauren Finnerty graduated from Maryville University in St. Louis with a Masters of Science in Nursing. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes Jewish College as well as an Associate of Science in Nursing, and her Phlebotomy Certification from Southwestern Illinois College.
Prior to joining APG in 2017, Lauren has cared for patients as a registered nurse in hospital, urgent care, pediatric and outpatient settings. She holds multiple certifications including basic and advanced life support, advanced cardiac life support and pediatric life support. She has served as a nurse preceptor and mentor at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, Barnes-Jewish Hospital, and United Surgical Partners. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners/AANP and the St. Louis Nurses in Advanced Practice.
As a valued member of our healthcare team, Lauren cares for patients primarily at our O’Fallon, IL location, but can be spotted helping out at our other locations as well.
